こんいちは!Hello!
My name is Nicholas Paul Reardon. I am a locally working musician and teacher in the Berkeley area.
For most of my life I've dedicated myself to the continual study and discovery of this art form which inspires me most.
Now -- holding a degree in Music/Ethnomusicology from UC Berkeley with several years of formal instruction in multiple instruments spanning genre --
I hope to not only share my facination for music but cultivate that same great passion in each of my students.

I have studied most extensively Latin music from the Carribbean (conservatorio de música de puerto rico), but have also trained in music
from Brazil, Mexico, Classical Harmony (common practice period through 20th century), Jazz, Indie Rock, Gospel, American Folk, Funk, Punk, and City Pop.
If you don't happen to see your interests represented here, do not fear! I am a lover of all music and am continually learning new things from my students.
I encourage you to bring me all of your own interests and for that I will be grateful.
Hourly Lessons may be scheduled regularly or on a week-to-week basis depending on availability.
Lessons may either be held at my studio located at 1030 Cragmont Ave, Berkeley, or by at-home visits if nearby.
Lessons are at a rate of $60 per session. I strongly believe musical education should be affordable and widely accessible, so if this rate isn't manageable for your student please reach out and I can help with accomodations.

All students start out with a free trial lesson where we can get to know each other, establish musical interests and goals, and see if lessons would be a good fit.
If you are planning on visiting the studio, all I ask is that you call ahead at least a day in advance so that we can ensure a time to visit.
If you would like to visit the studio for your first lesson, I provide access to all of the instruments I teach so the student may explore and discover where their interests lie if just starting out.
Reach out in anyway most convenient!
If leaving a voicemail, be sure to leave the name of the student and perhaps a bit of information regarding which instrument(s) they'd like to learn start learning.
If filling out the form, I will be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.
